Steve Jobs Memorial Bracelet

Apple (Unofficial)

On Nov 5, 2011 the world lost one of the most innovative men the modern world has ever known. That man was Steve Jobs, founder of Apple.

The next morning I woke up and wanted to do something to honor him. But I didn't want to do something as tacky as to wear a black turtle-neck. The design community was exploding with designs and illustrations in memory of Mr. Jobs. And I wanted to do something a little ... well ... different.

Then it hit me. I jumped on Google and to my surprise no one had executed my idea.

So in about 15 mins I'd created a rough mockup. And in another 30 I'd posted and tweeted it — a print-&-wear bracelet with the Apple logo. Simple. Clean. Easy to print, cut out, and have on your wrist (in less than 5 mins). I like to think that Mr. Jobs would be pround.

What followed blew me away.

Within 36 hours, this received almost 3,000 views, 100 likes, and over 1300 downloads! It was one of the most viewed posts on dribbble.com. It was pretty cool to see! And I was happy people could feel like they could be a part of something in a small way.
